Women’s empowerment through rural sanitation program partnerships in Vietnam

This research aims to determine the extent to which VWU volunteers were empowered through their involvement with CHOBA. It is also to determine the impact of CHOBA on the status and level of influence of the Women’s Union as an institution and examine if CHOBA had influenced the government’s sanitation program to be more responsive to the needs of women and children by enhancing role of WU.
